Back in December we gave you a look at the first two images in Doaly’s Dark Knight Noir series. Well Doaly is kicking off 2014 with the final image in the series and like its predecessors, it’s pretty damn cool and I want ALL of them on my walls.
Here is the latest print entitled: “The Dark Knight”
Here is what Doaly had to say about this last piece of his Nolan tribute puzzle.
“My thoughts on the final poster was like the previous, to take from a monologue in the movie and chart the character’s progress. In this movie Batman played the role of guardian of the city even when the city didn’t know how much he did for them. I wanted this to echo as part of the city itself and there’s a cheeky nod to the joker within the poster as you couldn’t have Dark Knight poster without him.”
Below are the other two prints from the series and as you can see, these would look utterly fantastic as a triptych on a wall in my office…I mean… in your home.
Although Doaly had originally stated that he thought “the Dark Knight may be the hardest to visualize,” it is absolutely my favorite from the group. No word yet if these dark delights will be available for sale but stay tuned and we will let you know if that changes any time soon.
As a member of the Poster Posse, Doaly has been crushing it with multiple images for each project. His work on our last project, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” was outstanding and can be seen HERE and HERE.
